Dhoni says he was looking to bowl as well as they have chased well. India are going with the same XI.

And to remind our readers, this finals will be the last match for the Sri Lankan stalwarts viz. Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara.

The toss will take place at 6.40 pm (IST) and the match will start at 7.10 pm (IST), without any reduction in overs. The players are in the ground warming up now.

Earlier, the final of the ICC World T20 between India and Sri Lanka was delayed as steady rainfall threatened to play spoilsport at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur.

Although the match is scheduled to start at 7 pm (IST), there is a chance of delay due to steady drizzle that forced the groundsmen to take precautionary measure.

A minimum five overs per side match is possible in order to have a result on Sunday itself. It can also happen that in a curtailed match, one team bats say 12 overs but the other team needs to bat a minimum of five overs before the Duckworth-Lewis rain rule is applicable.

In case the second team bats less than five overs, then the match will start afresh on April 7. However, as per weather forecast, there are chances of rainfall on Monday as well.

In this Twenty20 World Cup, India has an unbeaten record. In the semifinals, they beat South Africa by chasing a huge target of 172 with five balls to spare. Virat Kohli played a superlative knock.

Sri Lanka beat West Indies in the first semifinals by 27 runs (D/L method). Chasing a target of 161 runs, West Indies were 80 for four in 13.5 overs when hailstorm and heavy rain poured and inundated the pitch and the rest of the ground.
