The Sri Lanka Navy assisted in the repatriation of 19 Indian fishermen and 04 fishing trawlers on 30th March 2014.

They were handed over to the Indian Coast Guard Ship “Abheek” at the seas off Mannar. Sri Lanka Navy Inshore Patrol Crafts P 223 and P 212 were deployed for the humanitarian mission.
