Vesak was celebrated on 14th May 2014 at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Beijing, People’s Republic of China, with series of religious activities at the Embassy premises with the active participation of the members of the Embassy, their family members and the Sri Lankan community in Beijing.

The activities included a “Bodhi Pooja” program with the illumination of Vesak lanterns and a  “Pahan Pooja” by lighting up hundreds of  “Pahans”. The events of the day concluded with “Vesak Bhakti Gee” performed by the children of the staff of the Embassy.
