Distributors of the Santhosh Sivan-film, ‘Inam’, which is centred on the conflict between the Sri Lankan army and the LTTE, have said the film will be withdrawn from theatres, starting Monday (31).

In a statement, N. Lingusamy, who distributed the film on behalf of Tiruppathi Brothers, said there had been a lot of criticism for the film with some saying it hurt Tamil sentiments. The film was released on Friday.

Some fringe Tamil nationalist groups have been demanding a ban on the film. On Sunday evening, MDMK too demanded the film be banned.
