Marking another historic land mark between close military to military relations between Pakistan and Sri Lanka the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) of Pakistan, General Rashad Mahmood will visit Sri Lanka from 7 to 11 April 2014.
This will be his first overseas visit after assuming duties which in itself speaks volumes regarding our cordial relations. Sri Lanka and Pakistan have very close ties in the field of training and all such activities are coordinated under the direct supervision of CJCSC. There have been considerable increases in such training engagements over the years.
He will be visiting the Defence Services Command and Staff College where he will address the faculty and students which includes about 20 foreigners including Pakistan Officers on “Pakistan’s Security Perspectives”. He will also visit Diyatalawa, Anuradhapura and Jaffna, among other places.
The local dignitaries he meet will include political as well as military leadership of Sri Lanka.
